The meeting in the frame of the project “Decydujmy razem” (Let’s decide togheter) will take place on 31 March – 1 April 2010 in the center of the Polish Academy of Science in Madralin next to Otwock. The meeting will inaugurate the project which aims to develop the new forms of participation in policy making at the local level. The project is realized by the Ministry of Regional Development in cooperation with five polish non-governmental organizations with the financing from the European Social Fund.
The meeting in Madralin will gather the partners and the participants from the Foundation Partnership for Environment and the Association CAL (Centre for Development of Local Activity). Both organizations will coordinate the process of cooperation with polish local authorities. Each community will work with sub regional animator who will help the authorities to implement the civic participation model in creating and implementing the public policies. At the end of the project in 2014 there will be 300 representatives of polish communes who will gain the knowledge about the civic participation model in policy making at the local level.
